Welcome to
Town of Waxhaw-Parks & Recreation Dept.
In the effort to support Governor Cooper’s phased approach to reopening and as a result of the financial impact COVID-19 has put on our community, the Town of Waxhaw sponsored summer events have been cancelled through August 2020. This includes our annual July 4th parade and summer concert series. Anyone who has already registered for these events will be receiving refunds. While we won’t be able to spend July 4th as we normally do, the Town of Waxhaw will still be celebrating our independence and continue our town tradition with a virtual community event on July 4th.

Our Summer Program Guide for July - September will be released in June and will include both virtual and in-person programs.

Parks & Recreation summer Fun Days in the Park programming will begin on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 with limited capacity.

Parks & Recreation facility rentals will resume on Monday, July 6, 2020. This includes The Meeting Place, The Duncan McDonald House, Nesbit Park recreation fields, and the Town Creek Park fields and shelter[Lisa Hoffman] . and the Water Tower Community Corner.

Please stay tuned on Facebook and the Waxhaw website for more information.

A reminder that Town of Waxhaw government buildings remain closed through June 28, 2020 in response to government recommendations for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Staff is working remotely and you are able to reach us by phone or email.

We appreciate your support and cooperation as we navigate this ever-changing environment to stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
